Cherry Blossoms

Well, it was a fleeting thing, but the cherry blossom season has been and gone for this year.

This year we went back to Senkoji Park in Onomichi for a bit of nostalgia, and made the R Family get up at the crack of dawn with us, for our traditional "beat the rush" breakfast hanami.

These people tried ro beat the rush by staking their claim in the traditional manner. Get your blue sheet down first and the spot is yours! The taped on message reads: "Our company would like to use this space from 16:00 on April 5th. Please feel free to use it till then" How polite!

Of course if your group won't spring the 100Yen for the tape, then if you're the youngest or lowliest, there's nothing for it but to get your sleeping bag out from the night before!

Everyone was happy to be up so early!

Afterwards we went down to the harbour for a walk and an elicit ice cream.

Then on to the park, where we defied danger on the "Jaiant Slope" (Giant perhaps?)

Friction burns notwithstanding, a great time was had by all!
