Background: There is a programme on the Disney Channel called "Corey in the House", in which the President of America often looks directly at the camera and says "I am THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" very dramatically and self importantly.
A few weeks ago Weechan asked me in Japanese what that meant. I explained that it meant he was the number 1 man in America. In Japanese the word for "number one" can be interchangeable with "best".

The other day, before going to bed, she for some reason decided to declare her love for me out of the blue:

"Mummy, I really love you."
"That's nice, why?"
" Because you're the President of the United States of Mummy!"

New Table at Last テーブルが着た

Our new table arrived, but not without a certain amount of drama. Despite having measured the stairwell and house in general, when it arrived, it would not actually go up the stairs. Something to do with the being the biggest table that has ever been ordered at that shop. So they had to go away and come back and hoist it up over the balcony.
テーブルが着たよ。でも店で今まで注文されたテーブルの中で一番大きいため、階段からあげられなかった。ベランダから吊るして入れてもらった。

いいかんじ。後はいすを買うためのお金をためることだけだね！ハハ。
But it was worth it. All I need to do now is save up the money to buy some chairs to match!

A DVD player is your best friends sometimes when you share a small space with 5 kids!

We went to Aso.
阿蘇山に行って来た。

でも本物の火口まで行けなかった。
But we couldn't get right up to the crater this time.

SO had to be content with looking from the visitor centre.
資料館からの眺めで我慢しないといけなかった。

But the seismograph was fun.

We made this big an earthquake by jumping!

Not surprising after all these hotdogs!

And ice cream!

I tried to get everyone's best side!

And G again.

N tried to get revenge, but you know, you have to take the lens cap off dear....

Then we fed the animals at the safari park.

And did all the usual things.

Always a good day out!

First Hamburgers 初めてのハンバーグ

Today I was explaining to Mummy the difference between Ba-chan's beefburgers and Mummy's beefburgers. She asked which were tastier, and I said both were tasty they were just different. So she said "why don't you show me", so I made the beefburgers for dinner all by myself! My very first real cooking!
今日はMummyにおばあちゃんの作るハンバーグとMummyが作るハンバーグの違いについて話をしていた。「どちがおいしい？」と聞いたら、「どちもおいしいけど、形がちがうだけ」と答えた。（！！）「じゃあ、みせて」と頼まれたら、初めて自分でハンバーグを作ってみることにした。

やっぱり自分で最初から作った方が一番おいしい！
They really do taste best when you make them yourself!

Lots of Visitors お客さんたくさん！

We have had lots of visitors since we moved house, and they all seem to like the Alligator!
T-kun has always been a wee poser,
引っ越ししてから、お客さんがたくさん来てくれました。みなワニさんがすきみたいね。
